Scott Paul Wines
Dec 25, 2008
Having tried dozens of Pinot Noirs (Oregon is famous for this grape) we have found Scott Paul to be one of our favorites. On a recent wine tour we stopped in to Scott Paul. By coincidence the wine steward had found Boothster.com and was going to be buying some of our eco friendly Rolla Green banner stands. Small world we said. How about you pay us part in wine? In this rough economy it works for us! A little wine enhances the creative juices we say. By the way we are discounting our Rollas $150 during the 2008 holiday season, and we will take trade (in wine or beer). We're picky though.

Glumac
Dec 16, 2008
Glumac is one of our existing customers. They happen to have offices in Portland which makes things easier. One challenge we ran into on this project is that an entire foot on their custom wood crate got knocked off which caused the crate and the booth walls to get tweaked. Unfortunately rough handling by forklift drivers and truckers sometimes is unavoidable.... LUCKILY we always plan for surprises, and I was there and was able to easily fix the booth...

Timmons Design and Engineering
Dec 12, 2008
Here's a photo of a really cool brochure holder we did for Timmons Design and Engineers for the Greenbuild conference in Boston. We also did a full 10x20 eco friendly booth for them. It shipped back to Portland recently and we're eager to get it out to it's next event.

Touchstone Project: Pop Up Booth for Energy Company
Nov 21, 2008
There is a reason we see pop ups all over the place. They are so easy to set up and priced right! Here's one we did for an energy company.

Luna Tech
Nov 3, 2008
While we are famous for eco friendly booths, we have the capability to produce utilizing more standard booth materials. We did this booth for Luna Technologies in 2007 using ultra lightweight stretch fabric, and SUPER easy to set up counters. We're going to be updating their booth in 2008 with revised graphics and more...

EcoLoco: New Cool Design Concept
Oct 28, 2008
EcoLoco is a completely new and unique eco friendly, sustainable system utilizing 50-75% post consumer fiber, and cotton graphics. It's modular, lightweight and durable. Designed by Dan Lococo, it is also biodegradable and 100% recyclable.

Bowster - New Booth Marketing Ploy?
Oct 19, 2008
I've been told before that the name "boothster.com" is a cute company name. I mentioned that to one of our key designers, Greg Garrett and he came up with this image. You know Geico has the clever Aussie Lizard dude. Maybe we have a new mascot? You never know it could actually be a cool marketing idea... Have a cute dog marketing your product at a show... If they would only let dogs into trade shows... hmmm.

Dandelion
Oct 18, 2008
Dandelion's product line is varied to say the least. With the use of many eco friendly, sustainable and recycle made products to showcase, we found it necessary to provide them with a booth as unique as them. From biodegradable cotton graphics to recycled paper tubes and boards, to counters made from recycled PET bottles infused with grass, bamboo and sea shells, this booth even made us take a step back in awe at its beauty.

Lollidoo Diapers
Oct 17, 2008
When thinking about our earth and all the eco friendly products being developed to help sustain our presence, the last thing I think of are diapers. Maybe because I don't have any children. But with 133 Million babies being born worldwide each year, I'm glad somebody is thinking about it. As an eco friendly business, sustainability goes full circle when Lollidoo aproached us. Take a look at our portfolio to see what we created for them.

Oregon Wine
Oct 15, 2008
Living in Oregon is literally a mini paradise for wine enthusiasts. With over 300 small wineries the state is teaming with varieties. Oregon's signature grape is the Pinot Noir. We were happy to help market and we did a set of rolla greens for the Oregon Wine Board. If we could only get them to pay in wine!

Climate Check Rolla Greens Banner Stands
Oct 13, 2008
Climate Check is an innovative consulting firm involved in green technologies. We did a set of Rolla Greens for them. Obviously they are keyed on doing eco friendly so they came to Boothster.com where else! Recyclable aluminum base and biodegradable graphic.

FSC Certified Plywood Crate for Booth
Sept 29, 2008
We go all out is all I have to say. FSC certified plywood for our crates. A little more in cost goes a long way for mother nature. We also stained it with a natural eco resin. We actually used this crate as part of the overall design. Check the flash animation for more photos of this booth. We'll have more photos up on the portfolio soon.

Get Into a Design Groove with Boothster.com House DJ Danomite
Aug 22, 2008
If you were looking for one more reason to work with Boothster.com, could it be that we have our own resident DJ? I will bet that all of those other exhibit houses don't have a DJ to offer! Actually DJ Danomite is one of our lead designers. Here you see him with a dj set up he designed utilizing some of our eco friendly flex walls and EcoLoco tubes. Actually this should give some insight into our company. It's no coincidence that our team is made up of DJ's, producers and even a trumpet player. The process of making and blending music is not unlike designing creative spaces. We like to "get into a groove" by creating collages of eco friendly materials, logos, colors... etc. We may not re-invent the wheel of design but we will definitely come up with some cool and fresh mixes. Coming this Christmas for clients get ready for the Boothster Xmas music collection. You know, trade show booths need less lightboxes and more disco balls. I'm serious.

Free Standing Fixtures for Herbal Water
July 19, 2008
One of our cooler design projects recently was a set of 2 fixtures for natural water company, Herbal Water. The main challenge was figuring out a way to internally luminate a tower while providing ample support for dozens of full bottles of water. We chose softwall material (sometimes we call it flexster) made from recyclable material. We won't divulge our top secret building method but lets just say we're glad we have a team of clever and creative engineers and builders. We're really excited about the white softwall material because of it's translucent properties. Click here or on the picture for more pictures of this cool eco friendly project.

Ecobuild booth for Glumac
May 20, 2008
Today was the set up for the Glumac booth at Ecobuild. Check out the photo. We built the big G out of layered cardboard... post consumer recycled/recycled cardboard. The lights are all LEDs which consume less energy.

On Veggie Power! On to Ecobuild!
May 18, 2008
It doesn't get much greener than this! The driver picked up our booth from Portland in our veggie powered van today to deliver Glumac's booth to the EcoBuild show in Anaheim. Our veggie oil comes from fine restaurants in the area (fine restaurants have the cleanest oil). By coincidence the driver knows a nightclub owner (in Hollywood, big time place) who was remodeling an old restaurant. As luck would have it, he had a big drum of used veggie oil he was trying to get rid of. So he used it on the trip back to Portland!

Google Happy
April 20, 2008
OK, ok... you've used Google before, and probably have a sense for their brand... fun, smart, bright colors, simple interface... It was interesting because I've used Google for years but I had never interacted with people that actually work for Google until our recent project for them at EarthDay in Washington DC. I met several of them who work around the country and they all seem to be exactly that, fun, smart and easy going. Definitely cool opportunity for Boothster.com. If you look closely in this picture you can see our sign next to Google's.

Google'ing Cats and Dogs
April 20, 2008
Wow what an event. First off we were totally stoked to get an opportunity with Google to build their eco friendly booth for Earth Day. How great is that? Google found Boothster.com on Google when looking for an green/sustainable booth. Gotta love the internet! Then, we arrive and thanks to an airline that shall remain un-named (@#$!@#!) we were missing 1 very important part of the shipment. And, to top it all off, Mother Nature herself saw fit to blast a crazy downpour, complete with potential electrical storms (they actually asked people to take cover and not stay out in the open for fear of lighting strikes)! So needless to say we were feeling a little "anxious" about our opportunity with Google! I felt like Magyver or the Mr. T from the A Team coming up with an impromptu install for the booth. I gotta give Ace Hardware (Frager's, Washington DC) some props for hooking me up with all the right tools. In the end we completed the install 30 minutes early so it all worked out great. But got soaked to the bone. Check out the pic to the right!

Portland Recycles!
April 19, 2008
Yes we do! One of our newest clients is the City of Portland, Office of Sustainable Development. We have been doing a variety of graphic projects for them such as rolla greens, and banners... all on our unique biodegradable banner material. We actually customized these rollas with extra feet for use outdoors... light outdoors that is. Like under a tent.

Portland is such a great city to run a business in because it offers great recycling resources, especially for what Boothster is doing with our EcoLoco, Sustain-A-Booth product lines. In Portland we can recycle wood, plastic, paper products, and even paint! In fact we have used recycled white paint for recent projects for Crown Recycling and Google.

Boothster.com deals directly with recycling centers in the Portland area.

Sustainable Crazy - EcoLoco is Born
April 5, 2008
EcoLoco is our new Sustain-A-Booth, Boothster system... Here you see a prototype which one of our clients really liked... We were working on the prototype and by chance they had a need for a similar display that was unique, eco friendly, cost effective and modular. We literally saved the cardboard tubes from a dumpster, and hauled them off in our veggie oil powered delivery van. The crate is built from reclaimed ply, and the wood is also reclaimed, recycled and chemical free. The total graphic size is 8' tall x 10 feet wide

Boothster Partially Powered by Used Oil from Restaurants
March 12, 2008
Boothster.com now offers West Coast deliveries in our very own veggie powered van. Its a reclaimed van we converted. It runs on used oil from fine restaurants. The finer oil is more pure and burns cleaner. Call ahead of time for delivery, it's popular so it's time slots fill up quick!

Alternative Apparel - Eco Cotton Print
January 31, 2008
Alternative Apparel is a natural fiber eco friendly, sustainable fashion company. We did a huge 20 foot wall in biodegradable cotton. It was actually in five four foot sections. It's kind of cool to get back into the fashion world. It reminds be of the days at Mobius, where I started out in design/branding.

Several Oregon Wine Projects Happening
January 17, 2008
One of the things I/we love about Portland and Oregon really is that there are so many great wineries. Luckily wine related projects have been flowing our way such as the Oregon Wine Center, Chehalem Winery and Low Input Viticulture and Enology. We've got to figure out a way to get paid in wine. Hmmnnnn.....

Brighter Planet Goes Sustain A Booth
January 7, 2008
We did a portable banner stand for Brighter Planet today. Great cause. Here's info from their website: Brighter Planet is dedicated to helping you take charge in the fight against global warming and build a clean-energy future. With a majority of Americans wanting to do something for the environment, our products are an effective way for individuals and businesses to reduce their impact on the climate.
